When Petra got in touch with me about her idea of a winter time wedding, I was absolutely overjoyed with it. Her vision was a small, simple, intimate ceremony without fuss that represented their togetherness as a family. As this time, it was not only two souls in love deciding to spend their lives together. Rather two lovely parents strengthening their relationship as a family.

Although, we all hoped for a little snow on their special day, all we got is gloomy sky, cold wind and chilly weather. Luckily I am a fan of moody clouds and they were also very keen on keeping each other warm.

After their ceremony at the local town hall we headed to a lovely rural estate to celebrate their love, drinking champagne under the glamor of sparklers, eating cake, and laughing together near the fireplace.

So I guess, in the end, all the sparklers lightened up the gloomy sky and their love won over weather conditions. 🙂
